Whoa…Whale Watching update

So I didn’t make it out to the Whale Watching site until yesterday when I had to take Alex Drude from KMTR out to do a story.. and let me just say whoa. I’ve gone and spotted whales before, but it was NOTHING like yesterday. This week volunteers from Whale Spoken Here program are out from 10am-1pm helping people spot the whales. It was AMAZING! We saw so many whales spouting and saw their backs come out of the waters. The volunteers would set the viewing lens right where I needed to look and there they were! I’ve never seen as many in the last 3.5 years as I did yesterday. I highly recommend heading out to Shore Acres and taking advantage of their expertise. The whales will be running in large numbers through mid-January.
