So, if you are traveling with a group and need an organized excursion or if you just like to have someone map it out for you (after all, you're on vacation), we've got the answer. Cape Arago Beach Loop

Lighthouse exploring is an exciting and historic thing for the whole family to do. Oregon’s Coast has a rich history steeped in seafaring. You’ll find 5 of Oregon’s 11 lighthouses within a short driving distance. We recommend you save plenty of time to explore and take advantage of the fantastic photo opportunities.

Whether you are traveling from Portland or San Francisco, follow Southern Oregon’s Hwy 101 rugged coastline. The gateway to the Oregon Coast, the Brookings-Harbor area offers spectacular ocean vistas. South of Gold Beach, Cape Sebastian, Arch Rock, Natural Bridge, and Indian Sands are a must! PDFBeaches, Forests, Deserts and Mountains . . . Oh My!
Travel from San Francisco on Hwy 101 to the scenic Southern Oregon Coastline. Once at Bandon travel inland along the Umpqua River and pass 13 waterfalls before you reach Crater Lake National Park. East of Crater Lake you will enter the High Desert, Klamath County, known for its incredible wildlife and birding experiences. The following day cross over the Pacific Crest Trail and head down the Cascade Mountains into Ashland, home to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Then head down I-5 to San Francisco.
