Lighthouses Lighthouse Exploring is an exciting and historic thing for the whole family to do. Being on the Pacific Ocean, Oregon's Adventure Coast has a rich history steeped in seafaring.

Umpqua River Lighthouse
Located 19 miles north of North Bend off Hwy 101
This is the first lighthouse sighted on the Oregon Coast. Built in 1857. Summer tours available. 541-271-4631

Cape Arago Lighthouse
Located12 miles southwest of Coos Bay
Original structures built on this site in 1866 and 1908 were damaged by the weather and waves: current tower illuminated in 1934. No public access. Unique fog horn. Great views from Bastendorff Beach County Park and Oregon Coast Trail.

Coquille River Lighthouse
Located 20 miles south of Coos Bay off Hwy 101 at Bullard's Beach State Park, Bandon.
Built in 1896, decommissioned in 1939, and restored as interpretive center in 1979 summer. Tours available. 541-347-2209
