High Tide has been the long-standing winner of our unofficial “best clam chowder” poll for a number of years. Their clam chowder, along with the rest of the menu has earned high praise from visitors for years. “Excellent clam chowder and I have tried dozens of chowders in my almost 65 years,” says Myrtle Beach, SC visitor, Maggie C. “Clam in almost every spoonful, potatoes don’t dominate, creaminess you want - maybe a bit too thick even - seasoned perfectly. No need or desire to add salt or anything. Served with a thick piece of sourdough bread and butter…” High Tide is now under new ownership and we look forward to seeing what they’re going to do in the future!
