The Mill Casino * Hotel’s Annual BBQ, Blues & Brews on the Bay has grown into one of The Mill’s most attended events. Finger-lickin' good barbecue, hand-crafted beers, and smokin’ hot tunes at the BBQ, Blues & Brews on the Bay, Memorial Day Weekend.
Whether you’re a grill master or just love to eat great barbecue, this event is for you. BBQ, Blues & Brews on the Bay, May 27-28, 2022 at The Mill Casino • Hotel & RV Park .
BBQ!
For the 10th Year, The Mill brings you finger-lickin' good barbeque for a Kansas City Barbecue Society Sanctioned Event, bringing the best grill masters and teams together, vying for the title of Grand Champion! See the schedule below for tasting times!
BLUES!
Smokin’ hot tunes from some of the best blues musicians - Ben Rice Band and Lisa Mann - throughout both days. After grabbing some BBQ and a Brew, stop in the music tent to hear these great bands!
Live Entertainment kicks off on Friday, May 26th with Whiskey Banditos in Salmon Room East from 8:00pm –11:00pm!
BREWS!
New and improved! At each of the three beer stations guests will be able to buy a commemorative logo’d pint cup for $10, or $15 for a cup and a 16oz beer pour of their choice.
Full-size 16oz beers on tap are $7 and sample size 5oz beers are $4. A selection of wine will also be available for purchase with cash or card. Upon exiting, guests will be able to vote for the People’s Choice Best Brew. Guests can use cash or card for all cup and beer purchases.

Saturday, May 27
12:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Enjoy Vendors, Live Entertainment, Craft Brews, and sample BBQ & Mac ‘N Cheese from competitors
*Samples: On Saturday from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00pm – 4:00pm, (While Supplies Last!) guests will be able to purchase 2oz samples from the participating competitors using cash or card. Samples will be sold for $2-$5 each.
12:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Lisa Mann in the Event Tent
3:00 PM – 6:00 PM – Ben Rice Band in the Event Tent
Sunday, May 28
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Enjoy Vendors, Live Entertainment, Craft Brews, and sample BBQ & Mac ‘N Cheese from competitors
*Samples: On Saturday from 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00pm – 4:00pm, (While Supplies Last!) guests will be able to purchase 2oz samples from the participating competitors using cash or card. Samples will be sold for $2-$5 each.
On Sunday from 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm guests will also have a chance to sample the competitors Mac N’ Cheese creations (While Supplies Last) and remaining BBQ samples from the judging process from the participating competitors.
12:00 PM – 4:00 PM – Lisa Mann and Ben Rice Band Together! in the Event Tent
2:00 PM – Jim Monihan Mac ‘N Cheese Challenge
4:00 PM – Awards Ceremony – $15,000 in prize money will be awarded to KCBS BBQ competitors, Mac ‘N Cheese winners will be announced!
*ALL SAMPLES AVAILABLE AT THE FESTIVAL ARE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST. Note: In addition to the 25 competing teams that will be here, The Mill’s Grab N’ Go will be serving full meals.
