Time-Specific Parking Pass
If you’re planning to drive, you will need a special Time-Specific Parking Pass in advance again this year. In an effort to reduce wait times and backed up traffic conditions, you’ll be required to make a Parking Pass reservation to visit. These Parking Passes are per vehicle, not per person. The passes are only $5 per vehicle, unless you already have an annual park pass (see Important Park Pass Information below). Either way, advance online reservation is required. Parking Passes are managed by the Oregon State Parks.
Holiday Lights admission is always free, but you will need a parking pass. Click the “Book Parking Pass Now” button below to secure your time-specific parking reservation. Don’t forget to print your pass or catch a screen shot of your pass. You will need the printed or screen shot pass to enter the park. Have questions? Call (541) 888-3778, the local State Parks office.
Important Park Pass Information: If you have an annual park pass (12- or 24-month), the Oregon Pacific Coast Passport, a current OR State Park camping confirmation that coincides with the date of event visit, or a special access pass (see website above for more info), the $5 will be waived. You still have to book online. You will need to present your event parking pass AND your special pass at the gate.
Leave the Driving to Us!
Take the FREE Santa’s Sleigh Shuttle from the Charleston Marina to Shore Acres State Park on Thurdays, Fridays and Saturdays from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Eve, plus Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. These wheelchair-accessible shuttles will depart from the marina every 20 minutes between 4:20pm and 8:00pm. Last shuttle will leave the marina at 8:00pm to give folks enough time to enjoy the lights.
A Few More Details:
- There is no need to make a reservation for the shuttle. It will run on a first come, first served basis.
- The shuttle will run every 20 minutes or so (based on traffic conditions) from the marina to the park from 4:15pm to 8pm
- The last shuttle to the park will be at 8pm since the park closes at 9pm and we want everyone to have enough time to enjoy the lights before they have to return to the Marina.
- All guests to the park must depart the park by 9pm, though shuttles may have to run a bit longer to get all passengers back to the Marina
- Two shuttles will run - a 20-passenger and a 44-passenger, both are wheelchair-accessible
- The shuttle is FREE of charge thanks to a grant from The Ford Family Foundation and the Visitor & Convention Bureau
Funded in part by The Ford Family Foundation and the Coos Bay - North Bend - Charleston Visitor and Convention Bureau. Thanks to First Student Buses for their assistance with this project.
