Horsfall Beach is the Perfect Spot for Dog Lovers

The weather was so lovely this weekend it seemed like a good time to take our “kids” to their favorite beach on the Oregon Coast- Horsfall Beach.  Enjoy these pictures!

We love running on the beach and this one goes on for miles and miles! If we walk just a couple hundred yards to the left, there’s never anyone around and we can chase birds and bark without disturbing anyone!– Shortie & Vegas, North Bend

The best place to park is the Horsfall Beachcampground parking lot.  From Hwy 101, head west on Transpacific Lane. The road will curve to the right and shortly after that you’ll turn right into the Horsfall area (Horsfall Beach Rd). Follow that road all the way to the end, it will turn into a parking lot. You’ll need a recreation pass or an Oregon Coastal Passport. The Oregon Coastal Passport is the best one as it gives you parking in many State Parks including Shore Acres and the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. We buy the year long pass for $35, but you can also get five day or one day passes. You can buy the one day pass at Horsfall, or stop by a visitor center for the longer passes.
