If you are planning a trip to see the #ShoreAcresHolidayLights, a beloved holiday tradition, follow these tips! ⠀ ⠀ -1 Plan Your Visit During Off Hours. As you can imagine, the event has become so popular (it attracts an estimated 50,000-60,000 visitors each season) that people are now being encouraged to see the display during the week. Friday thru Sunday can be very busy (Peak hours are from 5:30-7:30) with vehicles waiting in line to get into the park. ⠀ ⠀ -2 Bring Cash. Admission is a parking fee of $5 per vehicle or a current OPRD Annual Parking Permit or Coastal Passport or current state park campground receipt. The entrance booth does not accept credit or debit cards, only cash or checks. The Friends welcome donations for refreshments and for continuing the event the following year. ⠀ ⠀ -3 Arrive Early. We recommend beating the crowds and arriving early so you can enjoy the beautiful view at the sea wall, browse through the Information & Gift Center (opens at 3:30 p.m.) and see the spectacular gardens before it gets dark. Besides, you will want to experience the magical transformation of the lights at dusk. ⠀ ⠀ Click on the link in our bio to learn more about this year's gorgeous holiday display! https://www.oregonsadventurecoast.com/blog/navigate-the-holiday-lights-at-shore-acres-like-a-pro/ ⠀ ⠀ #oregoncoast #travelcoosbay #charlestonoregon #northbendoregon #coosbay #oregon #beaches #oregonsadventurecoast #visitorcenter #travelguide #oregontravel #beachvacation #vacation #vitaminsea #pacificocean #pacificnorthwest #OregonsSouthCoast #Oregontravel #traveloregon #thecoast ⠀

When Pacific Storms rage in winter and swells of 20 feet or more pound the cliffs of Oregon’s South Coast, these massive waves can rise up to 300 feet in the air and they certainly put on quite a show! ⠀ ⠀ The best time to go is when swells of 20-30 feet are predicted, so be sure to check the local, extended forecast. We will post High Surf Warnings on our Facebook Page, too, so Follow Us! #stormwatching #winter #oregoncoast #travelcoosbay #charlestonoregon #northbendoregon #coosbay #oregon #beaches #oregonsadventurecoast #visitorcenter #travelguide #oregontravel #beachvacation #vacation #vitaminsea #pacificocean #pacificnorthwest #OregonsSouthCoast #Oregontravel #traveloregon #thecoast
